A genuine local soda in El Cocal, handy if you've just come off the ferry, where the casados are the thing to order: rice, patacones with salsa Lizano and fried onions, a slice of meat, and coleslaw, all cheap, fast, and tasty. The family running it gives a warm welcome, and regulars swear it's among the best sodas around Quepos.

Super cheap, fast and delicious, we liked the casados. Generally rice, patacones with salsa lizano sauce and fried onions on whichever meal you choose and a coleslaw salad.
