Casa Huéspedes Pura Vida

My wife and I just spent 4 nights at Jorge and Pamela's guesthouse Pura Vida. Everything was really awesome! The place is very clean (including the common grounds - garden and kitchen/lounge area) and the rooms nicely decorated. Jorge is detail-oriented and very attentive to his guests, helping out to the extent possible with recommandations, helpful tips, fruits and coffee in the morning... he even gave us a ride. Really goes the extra mile to sincerely please his guests with a friendly smile. A very hospitable host who understands what hospitality really means! Well done.

Outstanding stay – highly recommended! The accommodation was spotless, beautifully maintained, and met true Swiss standards. Spacious, with a large fully equipped kitchen and high-quality furnishings throughout. A real highlight was being able to observe a rare, endangered species of monkey directly from the house through the windows — an unforgettable experience and perfect for nature lovers. The owners were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Everything was just right. In my opinion, this is the best accommodation in Quepos, and I would recommend it anytime without hesitation.

This guest house is not just your home away from home, it is also history from Jorge’s humble beginnings with only small bedroom as one of OG host when coughsurfing launched to eventually this guesthouse. New opportunities have not changed his generosity and kindness that still run deep and inspires me. In the way Costa Rica has unparalleled biodiversity, Jorge and Pamela’s hospitality and love for protecting the biodiversity is unparalleled. Jorge and Pamela are the ultimate team player. Pamela is the artist of the design and space planning while Jorge is the heart of vision and hospitality. Their guest house makes you feels like home away from home from all the big and small ways they take care of you, provide fresh cut fruits every morning, helping you whenever they can and providing you the best kitchen amenities. There’s no other way to explain that they want it to be home away from home for you for the joy and satisfaction they get every morning cleaning, so you can wake up to fresh air, forest in the horizon, and wildlife to spot as you take it all in being here in amazing Costa Rica. It was an understatement that it was our best stay bc of their kindness and all the ways they create ‘home’ for us and each of their guest. Thank you with all of our hearts and beyond Jorge and Pamela! We look forward to all of future returns and may many others will have the opportunity to experience what we experienced in both similar yet unique ways.
