About
The character here is artistic and hands-on: an on-site gallery, mosaic detailing everywhere, even the floors. Rooms run large — some are really apartments with a kitchenette and two beds — and from the balconies guests watch squirrel monkeys, howlers, and birds in the neighboring forest. Breakfast is ordered from a menu at the table, with the chocolate-chip pancakes a favorite, and Yara, the resident French bulldog, greets everyone. The Manuel Antonio bus stop is a few minutes' walk.

A wonderful place right next to the forest in Manuel Antonio. Before breakfast, we even saw squirrel monkeys playing in the trees, which was an unforgettable experience. The room was very spacious, and the whole place has a truly bohemian atmosphere. There is an art gallery on-site, lots of mosaic details everywhere, even the floors are made of mosaics, giving the hotel a very unique character. Breakfast was tasty, and we were also offered banana bread beforehand, which was a nice touch. There is a swimming pool on the property as well. The bus stop is just a 3-5-minute walk away, and from there it’s about 10–15 minutes to reach the beach. A special, artistic place with a strong connection to nature.
It was our last stop on fly-drive holiday and what a pleasant surprise. Location was great for us to access Manuel Antonio beach. The room, I would call it more an apartment was on first floor. Huge! Two double/king beds. Big shower room. Kitchenette/dining room was so big that you could possible fit 2 more beds. Had dining table and sofa. They offered beach towels which is a great touch. We also used their swimming pool on the last day. In addition, there is guest shower and bathroom that you could use if had few hours after check out. Breakfast is good- you get a selection menu at the table. My partner loved the chocolate chip pancakes. Main host was amazing- Yara, the French bulldog 🐾 all staff we came across were lovely. Definitely would recommend. And we ever in the area again, would definitely stay there. Nice touch was a little souvenir on the check out. Thank you.
Exceptional stay at Hotel Plaza Yara We had an amazing stay there. The room is beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. The entire property is clean, peaceful, and perfectly located. Exceptional service — the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of at every moment. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely stay here again!
