About
Alison and Daniela are what guests write home about — the hosts who leave a welcome note and snacks, answer WhatsApp at any hour, and arrange well-priced tours through local, ethical providers. The Quepos location is central and walkable to groceries and the water, the kitchen is well stocked, and someone's home-baked banana bread turns up more than once. Good value, comfy common areas full of plants and lights. Dorm AC kicks on in the evening.

Alison was such a great host! We had clean rooms with AC. The location was great and all of the common areas were comfy and cozy. I really enjoyed all of the plants and lights she put up to make the place homie. We woke up to a lovely note and some snacks. The kitchen had everything you needed in terms of pots pans and utensils. So close to the water and grocery stores. They cleaned every morning midday and night. They provided information for things to do in town and was very responsive via WhatsApp if needed. I highly recommend!!!
Amazing hostel, great location in Quepos but family who runs it is the best part. Daniela and Alison were so accommodating, responsive via WhatsApp, and arranged well-priced tours for us through local and ethical providers. Hostel can be quite hot during the day (nothing anyone can do about that), so if you want access to aircon during the day as needed, would suggest a private room, otherwise AC in dorms turns on at 7pm. Highly recommend, would happily return!
I’m actually still at Passifloras now but wanted to write a review so I don’t forget! I am super impressed and pleased with this hostel: the beds are comfortable and the dorm kept at a good temperature, the kitchen is workable for everything you’d need in a hostel, and it’s in a good location. The price is fantastic for what you get. The real thing I want to write a review about is the girls who run this hostel, Alison and Daniela. They are two of the LOVELIEST hostel hosts I’ve come across, and I’ve been travelling across the world for over a year now. They are so kind, friendly, accommodating and informative with all the guests I’ve seen them interact with. When my boyfriend and I checked in later than we’d told them we would (classic Costa Rica traffic 🤣), they actually said “we were a little worried”. They are truly so so sweet, I cannot imagine getting better service for such a reasonable price anywhere else in Quepos. My only regret is not booking more days and actually getting to know them better! They were definitely born to do this job. I highly recommend booking this hostel to anyone looking to spend a few days in Quepos/visiting MA. P.S. we got some free banana bread baked by one of the girls and it was delicious 😍
