About
El Pollito is a típico soda that regulars rank among the best in the greater Quepos area for price and quality — come for authentic food, not fancy plating. The fish casado gets called the most perfectly fried fish in months, the casado con bistec wins people over with caramelized onions, and the beef empanadas are filled with big pieces of stewed beef. Ask for the house chilera (it packs a punch), and time a Friday evening for the park birds and farmer's market outside.

The food was amazing for a great price. Our group of four had gallo pinto with various proteins (chicken, cheese, eggs, and beef). The beef and eggs (huevos rancheros) were the best but all were delicious. The pinto and maduro were top notch with great flavor. The arroz con piña drink was also amazing, and tamarindo was good. My only complaint was we noticed that the bathroom price was 500 colones which is tied for the highest I’ve seen in my travels across Costa Rica.
Incredible local food! We were in town for 3 nights— ate here every night. The casados are such good value for money and constantly changing in terms of the sides! We loved it here. Friendly staff, delicious food. A must visit!
Randomly found this spot thanks to the high rating on Google maps...it didn't disappoint at all! The atmosphere and service were lovely and the food was very tasty :) Tasty and affordable!
