About
La Costa is an easy-to-overlook restaurant off the tourist strip where the cooking feels like grandma's — everything freshly made, worth the wait. Travelers point to the beef tenderloin and a hearty seafood soup loaded with crab, shrimp, mussels and calamari. It's one of the few places open for a sit-down breakfast at 7am, the prices are fair, and more than one reviewer rates the current chef among the best in town.

The tenderloin was cooked well with good flavor, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Solid spot for a relaxed meal.
A very nice breakfast and at a very reasonable price. Excellent service. If you are an early riser like me ... this was the only "sit down" restaurant in Quepos that I could find open at 7:00am.
It's a restaurant at the street, that you probably wouldn't think of eating at. But the food is great. It feels like grandma's cooked food. It takes a while but it is worth of waiting. Everything is freshly cooked and very tasty. We had seafood soup, it was strong delicious broth with lot of stuff in it - crabs, shrimps, muscles and calamari. Then we chose burger and beef tenderloin, both main courses were very good. The burger comes with delicious fried cheese bites and onion rings. Tenderloin comes with selection of two sides. We would definitely come back.
