Supermarket Pura Vida is a small, centrally located market in Quepos stocked with most of the essentials — handy when it's a couple minutes' walk from your hotel. Regulars like the reusable bags and the convenience. Prices run higher than other stores, especially on alcohol, so it's more a grab-what-you-need stop than a bargain run.

Over five dollars for a bottle of San Pellegrino water when I just paid the day before around three dollars in Jaco. Just leave aside some of the other products I started to purchase before discovering the outrageous prize tag. I know the name of the game is try to get as much money from tourists as one can but when a store goes absolutely overboard like this then I refuse to buy anything and I never go back. Oh yeah, and I warn others too.
Small store. It has a lot of essentials in it. A variety of alcohol but it is very expensive. I pay $45.00US dollars for 1800 Cristalino tequila in Mexico but in Costa Rica we paid $74.00US for it. Everything is expensive in Costa Rica. The worker wasn't helpful or didn't even address us. She was busy talking to another guy.
Fun, centrally-located market with most of what you need. Great service and love their reusable bags. Might be a tad more expensive than other places but as far as convenience goes, this store hits.
