About
Home-style Tico cooking in Samara that regulars say feels like eating at mama's. The standouts travelers name: the surprising Tico Tacos, little hard-shell beef tacos under a pile of cabbage, and some of the best patacones they had in Costa Rica. Add ceviche, chifrijo and a fish fillet with vegetables, all fresh, authentic and easy on the wallet.

Ordered the Tico Tacos and was very surprised when it came as not what I had in mind at all. But have to say this dish was probably the best one I had in Samara. I didn't get a chance to go back but wished I had. There were 3 little hard shell beef tacos under the cabbage and not sure why or how but the taste was amazing! Highly recommend this place.
Delicious local food! Went three times on my trip.
Definitely one of the best restaurant we ate at in Costa Rica: authentic, tasty, fresh and inexpensive for the amazing food! We ordered ceviche, chifrijo, gallos with beef, patacones and everything was delicious! If you’re in the area, don’t miss it!
