About
An affordable little soda in Samara for straightforward Tico plates: the chicken casado gets the strongest reviews, along with homemade hot sauces regulars call fire, plus tacos, smash burgers and a proper Tico breakfast of gallo pinto. It is a budget-friendly, casual stop; note it closes up before 8pm.

Tasty food. Affordable compared to everything else around. Chicken casado is excellent. The homemade hot sauces are fire. They close up before 20:00.
Really not worth going to. We have been in Costa Rica for about a month now and have eaten at so many sodas. They all have had their different strengths and weaknesses, but all have been pretty good. I unfortunately cannot say the same about this one. Communication was very difficult, service was slow (I understand it’s a slow pace country, that’s fine, but this was notably slow.) Food was not fresh. Cold rice and beans. I also requested tap water to drink and a bottle was brought out (which is normal) but it had no lid, and I did not realize that there were multiple worms at the bottom of the bottle until after I finished drinking the whole thing. So obviously that’s unsettling. Just really not good. Don’t go
Love this hideaway! Great location, and very friendly staff. We had tacos (beef and chicken) and smash burgers - perfect after a beach day!
