About
A hotel in a traditional-architecture house set right on Sámara's sand — some rooms open almost directly onto the beach. The A/C works well, the included breakfast is served beachside at shaded palm tables next door, and guests rate the sun loungers among the most comfortable they've had. Staff are warm, with repeated shout-outs to a hard-working gardener. Note many rooms have mosquito-screen windows rather than glass, so storms and voices carry.

Very clean. Our room was literally on the beach. A storm came in and we lost power and water but it was quickly fixed. A unique experience.
Very cute rooms in traditional architecture house. AC works great and while the bathroom is simple it is functional and spacious. Plenty of shaded space between hotel and beach to lounge.
Great hotel in an amazing location. We had room number 1 which was basically on the beach itself, so no need to walk or drive towards it. There's a pool area you can use at the hotel right next door, where you will also get the included breakfast. The food is great, you're sitting at a table on the beach shaded by palm trees. Sun lounge chairs are the most comfortable I've ever had, all in all great experience with great and friendly staff! Shout out to the gardener who smilingly worked hard from morning 'till evening to keep the premises clean and said hello every time we passed him 😁 The only thing we were missing were windows in our room. Like many other places in Costa Rica, we only had mosquito screens for windows which could get noisy during a storm we had or when people were talking right outside our room. Don't let that keep you from coming here though, definitely book this stay.
