About
Right on the sand in Sámara, Las Olas is the kind of beach bar families settle into for a whole trip: sunset views, hammocks and loungers, and staff who remember your name (regulars single out Freddy). The pizza and tacos get the strongest praise, the happy hour is worth timing, and they're notably careful with gluten-free and celiac guests.

We ended up eating here several times during our stay and it was fantastic every single visit. The food was consistently excellent fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The beach views are stunning and create the perfect atmosphere, especially at sunset. It’s always busy, which says a lot, but the service never felt rushed. What truly stood out was the personal touch. Our waiter remembered our names each time we returned, which made us feel so welcome. I also have celiac (gluten intolerance), and they were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, making it easy and stress-free to dine safely. That level of care makes all the difference.
Loved the atmosphere... drinks were good. Food wasn't good. Pork Belly tacos were terrible. Pork was so tough I couldn't even chew it. Definitely couldn't eat it in a taco. Took it out of the taco and was too tough to even chew. Left hungry. My husband's fish tacos were ok...
It is pricey, but Samara has become much more expensive over the years that we have been going there. The pizza is excellent and the service is very friendly. And watching the sun set over the bay while you sip on a nice cocktail with your toes in the sand is amazing. And there are hammocks and loungers!
