Limey's Bar & Restaurant

Limeys was so good and so fun! Great happy hour deals and amazing food and atmosphere! We ordered fish and chips (which were some of the best I’ve ever had!) and carne Casado (traditional Costa Rican meal) and both were amazing! Great quality and flavour! Staff were super friendly and happily gave us some limeys stickers :) Long Island iced tea was also great!

We visited Limey’s last night after touring around Samara (we were looking for a soda but didn’t know it was a holiday in Costa Rica), thankfully Limey’s had a casado option on their menu - I had a craving! I chose the one with fish as the protein (which was seabass) and I don’t regret my choice - it was delicious! We were lucky enough to try their ceviche the moment a fresh batch was ready to be served - super fresh and tasty! Their pina colada was probably the best I’ve had in a long time - it put the ones we get up in Canada to shame! Our server took a while to get back to us with our change - we ended up just leaving without it (take it as an extra tip)! It was rainy and muggy so we wanted to get out and back to our accommodations. We sat outside near the sidewalk - it was great for the first half as it kept us out of the rain, but once it got dark, a motion light from we think came from the street was getting a bit annoying with going on and off. Most importantly though, the food was amazing! And that’s what counts.

A must try. Great little bar full of people having fun. Even the staff are having fun. Not like the beach restaurants. Service is top notch our waitress was happy and smiling. Food came fast and big portions. And the prices are very reasonable too. Thanks Limeys. We had a blast. A must go place for sure.
