About

The Mercadito is an open-air food court partway down Intercultura street toward the beach, gathering about ten shacks (Italian, curry, poke, Colombian, Argentinian, smoothies and frozen yogurt) around a full bar. During high season musicians play, and regulars steer newcomers to spots like the Curry Shack and Maya's empanadas. Seating is shared and casual, and the vendors keep it pura vida.

There is a food vendor, comida tipica, not listed on Google maps. Really good native food. It's a one man show, he cooks, takes your order, and the cleans the tables. Super nice guy! I highly recommend this place. Great for lunch! Just the right amount of food.

We love these market concepts. There’s something for everybody. often times there’s live music here. The Curry Shack is awesome. Maya‘s empanadas at #4 are also great.

Get the curry chicken rice and naan. Sooo good. Best burgers in Samara. Good happy hour prices. Bathrooms cleaner than most. Laid back and fun
