Villa Azul

We had an incredible stay at this property. The house is beautiful, with a great layout, a fantastic pool, and an outdoor cooking space that became our favorite place to hang out. The views are unreal, and the road up to the property feels like a mini adventure every time you drive it. Wildlife is everywhere — we saw howler monkeys, tons of birds, and even a few coatis right outside. The location is perfect, too. You’re just a few minutes from Samara, which is one of the most charming beach towns I’ve ever visited, and there are several beaches within quick driving distance. The hosts live on-site and were outstanding. Friendly, helpful, and always available without ever being intrusive. They really made the stay feel effortless. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, adventure, or a little of both, this is an amazing place to stay in Costa Rica. Highly recommend.

Our hosts Ted and Lisa are fantastic. Very informative of town and what Samara has to offer. Villa Azul is very comfortable in the room or just hanging out on the patio or pool. Close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. I would recommend to everyone you will enjoy yourself completely.

We have spent a significant amount of time in Samara over the past 8 years. It is truly our favorite place in all of Costa Rica. We could never have imagined a more enhanced experience until we had the pleasure of staying at Villa Azul. This beautiful property felt perfect to us in every way ~ we absolutely loved it! A little taste of luxury in a tranquil jungle setting, yet still conveniently close to town. Sunrise on the deck was heaven. Ted and Lisa are warm and welcoming hosts who are committed to ensuring their guests enjoy a wonderful stay. I’m already dreaming of our next visit!
