Dreamcatcher Hotel

We stayed at Dream Catcher in Santa Teresa at the start of our trip, and unfortunately our experience didn’t match what’s shown online. I’ve traveled to Costa Rica around a dozen times and am very familiar with the area and the general standard of stays there, so this isn’t coming from unrealistic expectations. The photos felt misleading, the property and rooms looked different in person, and the room we received was not the one we had booked. There were also some serious safety, cleanliness, and privacy concerns. Multiple rooms appeared to share the same access code, including the front entrance. Our bathroom had a window facing a shared kitchen area that allowed visibility into the shower from the other side. The room felt musty, and we noticed mold as well, which was really disappointing. Service-wise, breakfast was disorganized and took a long time, and interactions with staff felt more restrictive than welcoming. The hotel is also not beachfront, and you can’t see the beach from the rooms, which wasn’t clear to us beforehand. Most disappointing was a major miscommunication regarding a proposal surprise. Despite clear instructions to prepare something for after the proposal, decorations were set up early and unintentionally spoiled the moment. For a hotel that markets itself for romantic milestones and special occasions, this was really upsetting. This may work for travelers with very basic expectations, but we wouldn’t recommend it for engagements, weddings, or important life events where communication, privacy, and attention to detail truly matter.

Wow,the place is simply stunning!the pool surrounded by a tropical garden, the proximity with the beach, the friendly staff, everything is there to spend a pleasant time.the flat has a wonderful terrace, and the beds are super comfy🙂 I wish I could have stayed longer! it's a cosy place ! Dream catcher I don't know...dream place for sure!

What a great little find in beautiful Santa Teresa! Our entire family of 18 stayed here last week and we couldn't have been more pleased! Each room was lovely and spacious. The gathering area outside was perfect for quality time with the adults while the kids played just steps away in the large pool. Our hostesses were extremely friendly and catered to our every need. Huge outdoor areas for relaxing in hammocks, grilling or letting the kids run around. The beach is just a short 2 minute walk away. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!
