El Patio Cafe

El Patio is definitely our favourite breakfast / brunch spot in Santa Teresa! Best açai bowl for sure, I love açai bowl & have tried many cafes around the area including Ani’s bowl, Kaukau cafe, Vermu, the bakery & Gaucha, I dare to say El Patio is by far the best/authentic & consistent with perfect texture. Coffee is always good but not as strong as we would like in Costa Rica overall, we also love the Tico burrito and banana French toast. Price is super reasonable compared to the above cafes I mentioned. But most importantly, the food is always prepared with care and consistency which is not always the case around here!

We came twice for breakfast during our trip in Santa Teresa. Amazing food, generous portions and everything looking good. The service was good and you feel really welcome! Good coffee!! Highly recommend for local x trendy experience

El patio is the place to get your food. We went here to get breakfast and it was good. From the breakfast bowls to the pancakes all the way to the breakfast burrito…. We enjoyed every bite. Every dish was made with care. Also, the food came fast and it was not a long wait. The sevice was also TOP. Friendly, kind and welcoming are some of the adjectives you can use to describe the service. Now to the atmosphere… yes, corner spots are a little bit buggy( but hey, we are in the jungle), but otherwise it was a great location to dine. Overall I’d say el patio was a great place to eat and affordable.
