Esencia Hotel and Villas

We are a couple and stayed here for 6 nights at the end of November beginning of December. Positives first. Staff were friendly, pool is great, rooms are set away from the road and in the beautiful jungle. Nice and quiet at night. Cold air con, hot shower, great mini fridge, clean rooms. Close to the beach, stores and restaurants. The girl who did our check out was fantastic and let us hang out by the pool after checking out. Cons: At check in, we were not given any info on anything. I guess there is breakfast available as we saw all other guests receiving it. Didn’t bother to ask as we did our own thing. We figured out the air con on our own and needed to ask how the safe worked. It’s locked via a key and not electronic as per instructions on the safe. I think the check in staff were new and working out the kinks. So really, not a big deal. There are towels for rent to use at the beach or pool. I think pool towels should be included as most travellers don’t carry one. Seems like an unnecessary cash grab. We stayed in room 24 where there is a staff area in the back. If you close the bathroom door, it’s not too bad for noise. But, I would recommend one particular staff member put their phone on silent mode. In our room, by the pool or relaxing in the hammock we heard the constant dinging of her phone during the day. All in all though, great stay and I would recommend this spot. I would stay here again.

From the first moment we entered the office to examine the place and thanks to his kindness, his pleasantness, and his fairness we decided to choose your hotel. Throughout the days he helped and assisted, gave information, and answered every need. He was available to us at any hour. I want to thank Fernando and you for excellent service. I will recommend all my friends to come to your hotel.
