Fuego Lodge Hotel & Yoga Resort, Santa Teresa, CR

I am trying to avoid clichés, but this place is really a tiny piece of paradise in the middle of a busy surf town. You are surrounded by palms and blooming plants, birds, squirrels and lizards. Our pool view room with also view to the yoga studio building was a perfect choice, you are not disturbed by those who use the pool. One more thing to mention: when we made some problem for the lodge (yes sometimes we, too, cause trouble accidentally), the crew solved it with a smile. You can’t expect more from an accommodation during vacation.

Little paradise and perfect to relax but also busy street within a few minutes walking … lovely staff, great pool, a place to recommend.

We had a pleasant stay at Fuego Lodge. The service was great — warm and helpful staff throughout. The lodge is small and compact, which makes it feel cozy and accessible. The pool was enjoyable and a nice addition, although it could definitely use a bit more cleaning. The price is very affordable, and the room was clean and comfortable considering the cost — definitely good value for money. That said, the main downside was the presence of insects and bugs throughout the property. While the lodge is centrally located on the main street (a big plus), it’s also quite exposed, and we found bugs and critters in several areas. A bit of renovation and pest control would go a long way in improving the overall experience. All in all, it’s a good place for the price — just don’t forget to bring OFF spray with you!
