Hotel Tropico Latino

Great location right on the beach and very convenient for surfing. We could walk with our boards straight to the beach and be in the water within minutes, and it’s also close to restaurants and shops in Santa Teresa. Our studio was spacious, the pool area is nice, and the bed was fine for our stay. Unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to standard for the price. The cleaning was very basic and the room often did not feel properly clean afterwards, apart from the bed being made and a quick clean of the floor. Breakfast is also very minimal and the restaurant service could be improved.

Wow, I love this place. It’s honestly one of the most underrated places in Santa Teresa. The staff is so lovely and everything feels so chill and close to nature when you’re here. On top of that they have incredible food! The Fish Casado was so good I had to get it twice in the same day! It was so good they recommended the shrimp on the side with it and it blew my mind. What are you waiting for? Go there now!

We had such an amazing experience at Hotel Tropico. After another hotel nearby completely dropped the ball during a really important trip for us, Hotel Tropico stepped in and truly saved the week. They got us into a room the same day and were so kind, accommodating, and helpful through everything. This wasn’t our first time staying here, and it’s been incredible every single visit. The rooms are clean, the service is great, and the location is perfect — right in the middle of town and close to everything. The staff genuinely makes you feel taken care of. If you’re celebrating something special or just want a fun, stress-free vacation, we highly recommend Hotel Tropico. We’ll absolutely be back.
