Jakera Costa Rica - Spanish School, Yoga and Surf Camp

I spent an incredible two weeks here and I genuinely left feeling like a part of the family. The chef, Mario, made me incredible vegan food and was always looking out for me giving me fresh coconut to stay hydrated (I am almost 6 months pregnant). I wished I had more Spanish classes in the two weeks I was there, but you really get out of it what you put into it. I spent as much time as I could chatting with staff to connect and learn (Edwin, Nielsen, Veronica, Peggy, Lily, and Erika 🫶🏼). I’m so thankful for their time and patience with me. Everyone was incredibly kind and gave recommendations for anything and everything I could need. Our group leader Kira always had a helpful tip on where to go/what to do. Also, it was an amazing experience to volunteer with the local community and give back to a place that has been so generous to me. I hope to come back here someday and bring my baby with me 🥰

Jakera is an amazing place with great accommodation and an amazing pool. It definitely felt like my home away from home, which no doubt was due to the amazing staff at Jakera. My guides Alfon and Sawyer were also amazing as they helped me settle well into the Costa Rican lifestyle. They also helped me learn about the culture here in Costa Rica which has opened up my mind. I will always remember Alfon and Sawyer for always going out of their way to make sure that every one of us in our group was happy. Thank you Alfon and Sawyer for inspiring not only me, but the whole group in so many ways. And thank you for making my experience in Costa Rica unforgettable

Jakera was so nice, the location was perfect. The pool was lovely as well. My guides Sawyer and Alfonsina made the trip 100x better. Overall my stay here and was ideal and the experiences I made were once in a life time, would 100% recommend to anyone.
