Josie Green was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and made the sale of our property in the San Isidro area simple and rather easy. At the inception of our relationship, she was the most responsive of the several real estate agents I contacted. She quickly explained, in writing, how Costa Rican real estate transactions worked, and what fees, costs and potential profits we might expect from the sale—depending on sales price. She also laid out the various procedural steps that needed to take place for the sale to happen, and who would be responsible for each. She kept me informed as prospective buyers visited our property, and let me know what their impressions and responses were. Once we had potential buyers, she helped in suggesting price negotiation strategies and helping us complete a sales agreement with the ultimate buyer. She was most helpful in dealing with the buyer’s real estate agent and attorney during the due diligence period and the run up to the Closing, and her familiarity with the local governmental authorities and their procedures eased the obtaining of necessary documents. At the Closing, everything went perfectly smoothly and the transaction was actually a joyful experience for everyone concerned—celebrated with champagne at the table where the transaction documents were signed.
