A local-owned seafood spot a little off Santa Teresa's main drag—a bit hard to find, but the quiet courtyard away from street noise is the payoff. Regulars name the gallo pinto as the best in town, and the fish of the day, like mahi mahi in white wine sauce, gets standout praise. Portions are big, prices reasonable, and there are pools for kids to splash in while you eat.

The best Gallo Pinto in town! Big portions, great service, reasonable prices. One of the rare local-owned gems in town.
A bit of a hidden gem on this end of town. We stopped by for lunch and the nachos were delicious with maybe too much lettuce--super nice to be back in an quiet courtyard away from the annoying street noise.
I ordered the chicken burger, which came with fries and was very good. The place is a little hard to find, but worth it. Not an extensive menu but the prices are very reasonable.
