About
Ohana is a gated cluster of kitchen-equipped villas on the north end of Santa Teresa — tucked far enough off the loud main strip to be quiet, but under five minutes' walk to the beach, with a pool, parking, and in-room safes. Host Juan is the reason people rebook: he lines up fishing captains, airport drivers, and last-minute extensions. A 4x4 helps on the road up.

On our third trip to Santa Teresa we needed a place to stay a bit longer and wanted something with kitchen and extra space and we found Ohana on Airbnb and it turned out to be perfect for us! We rented villa moana with 3 beds 2 baths, it had a nice little Kitchen, living space and a huge deck area to hang out on. Ohana is a collection of various size villas with a swimming pool and parking, it is less then 5 minutes walking to the beach and super convenient to everything on the north end of Santa Teresa. Also they had great WiFi. Juan our host was amazing, providing all the needed information, he hooked us up with an amazing boat captain for fishing, a driver for the airport and so much more. 100% would recommend
A gorgeous villa complex though very misleading! Says it has 4 villas. What you realise when you arrive is the “villa” is the building that houses more than one room. We stayed in Villa pupa 1 which at first we were not happy about. The “pool view” was actually a view of the side of the pool (concrete) and the pool pump (noisy and not blocked off). However, once we realised how beautiful the pool area, the outdoor seating in our villa and the planting round the property was, we chilled out. The owner clearly has better things to worry about (surfing) than you as a guest and we felt very much like we were a hinderance rather than a paying guest. Ohana villas are lovely and quiet. Unfortunately all the construction around the whole of Santa Teresa is not.
We had a fantastic stay at Ohana Villas! The property is absolutely beautiful, and our villa was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our week in Santa Teresa. Juan was an exceptional host—friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. He even found a way for us to extend our stay by an extra night when our plans changed last minute. The gated property felt very secure, with convenient on-site parking and an in-room safe for valuables. We really appreciated the pool and the yoga mats provided for guests. We’d highly recommend Ohana Villas to anyone visiting Costa Rica. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
