Point Break Santa Teresa

I stayed at Point Break for 2 nights in a private room with an attached bathroom. The room had AC and hot water, which was great. The highlight is definitely the location — right in the center of Santa Teresa, next to great restaurants and just steps from the beach. However, since it faces the main road, it can be very noisy, so I’d recommend bringing earplugs. They offer free coffee and access to the shared kitchen, which is a nice bonus. Overall, a solid option for budget travelers.

Not much to go on... i was only there my first night in Santa Teresa. Best dorm room of my time in CR, but the bunks could use privacy curtains. I never used the kitchen. I only stayed one night because it's too close to the main road... had a hard time getting to sleep with all the loud motos & ATVs roaring past.

Terrible experience, especially for couples. Our “private room with balcony” faced a street so noisy it was impossible to relax or sleep. When we asked for a garden-facing room, they had plenty available, yet demanded $20 more for the exact same type. They clearly preferred to make us suffer rather than show a bit of hospitality. Also no light on the balcony, the shower curtains were broke. After 8 exhausting hours driving on rough roads, we were too tired to leave, but the lack of care, empathy, and basic guest service was shocking. This place values a few extra dollars over guest comfort — avoid if you can.
