Rusty Hook Tackle Shop

I went on a fishing trip with Mikey, the owner of Rustyhook, twice during my stay in Santa Teresa. Both times we went with the beautiful big boat, it was super comfortable and I got to know so much more about the area and the sealife in Costa Rica. We even saw some humpback whales, unforgettable experience! We catched some delicious seabass and brought them to Vista de Olas so the cook could prepare them for us and we had a delicious meal✨ would totally recommend it!

I highly recommend these guys for your next Costa adventure! They do it all. We did the inshore fishing excursion with them and had the best time. We caught yellow fin tuna, they took us to some great swim spots, and filleted the fish for us to take home. They even recommended a spot for us to take the fish to cook for us - where we ended up having a great view and a delicious lunch with our fresh catch! These guys are spectacular guides, fishermen, and you should book with them!!

Me and two others went on the 3 hour fishing charter with Mikey and the experience was amazing! We were given directions as when to arrive, and Mikey was ready to go. We had a cooler full of beverages and fruit to eat during the excursion as well. We started with trolling and then tried a few spots for jig fishing. Mikey was very knowledgeable and informative the entire time. Definitely an awesome dude. We saw dolphins, went to a spot where there was an underwater volcano vein, and saw manta rays jumping out of the water. The fish we caught - Tuna mackerel and blackfin tuna. Once we brought the fish in, Mikey took his time to fillet all the fish and educate us on the fish we caught. Overall 10/10 experience and would recommend Mikey or Sven to anyone looking for a fun fishing charter in Santa Teresa!
