An incredibly authentic soda with excellent food! The service was very friendly and helped us choose our food and recommended the Filet de Pollo a la Pizerolla. It was a real treat for the taste buds. Since Costa Rican cuisine doesn't have many vegetarian options, he recommended the nachos or rice with vegetables. Those were also very tasty! The portions were very large, so you'll definitely have something to eat for the next day. The prices are more than fair for these portions, taste, and atmosphere! If we come to Santa Teresa again, a visit here is a must!

Excellent food, excellent service - we had casados con pescado from many different sodas during our trip around Costa Rica; this soda serves delicious food and very generous portions. We were thrilled to have traditional Costa Rican dishes on our last night of the trip, especially in a town with many non-traditional eateries. During rainy season when several restaurants were closed, we showed up to this soda impromptu with a bag full of fresh fish our friends had caught and asked if they’d be willing to prepare our catch for us. We were thrilled when they said yes, and went on to have the most fabulous evening filled with ceviche, heaping portions of casado con pescado, and a platter of fried fish as well. The owners/staff were so delightful and we could not have picked a better place for our final meal in Costa Rica! ¡Muchas gracias!

Came here with my wife on a rainy night in the off-season when most things were closed. It was exactly what I hoped for. I lived in Costa Rica for a while long ago and this was exactly the casado con bistec that I wanted. Big portions all around, including my personal favorite (that I hadnt been able to find yet) guanábana liquido. Wife fajitas were great and she was very impressed with the fried and flattened plantains. Staff was friendly, chatted with me in Spanish and seamless switched to English for my wife. We even had a power outage hit (from the rain I mentioned most likely) and everyone smiled and laughed our way through it for the 5 minutes it lasted. In a town full of very non-Costa Rican eateries this place is representing what a good Tico Soda is all about. Very Pura Vida.
