Super Economico is one of my top grocery store choices in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, especially if you’re looking to stay budget-conscious while still getting everything you need in one place. I shop here at least once a week, and it’s a dependable, no-stress option for weekly essentials. Located right at the entrance to Santa Teresa, Super Economico works very well as a true one-stop shop. You’ll find groceries, household items, health care products, pet supplies, and a well-stocked frozen section with a wide variety of options. There is also a butcher area with fresh meat, along with frozen meat options, which makes it easy to cover everything in one visit. I also really appreciate the fresh bread section, where you can purchase bread made on site. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. On multiple occasions, staff members — including the security team — have helped carry my groceries out to my car, which makes a real difference and is genuinely appreciated. The store itself is always clean, bright, and fully stocked, and I can consistently rely on finding what I need for the week. The produce is fresh and usually well supplied. In terms of quality, Super Economico offers good, reliable quality — not premium, but solid and dependable for everyday shopping. Pricing is fair, and I find I can keep my grocery bill in a comfortable moderate price range when shopping here. The layout is well thought out and easy to navigate, which makes the overall experience efficient. Parking can be a bit tight with a small lot out front, but the store is busy for good reason. There is street parking available nearby, which helps during peak times. Overall, Super Economico is an excellent choice for travelers, families, and anyone living in or visiting Santa Teresa who wants an affordable, convenient grocery store without complicated logistics. It’s practical, consistent, and a place I return to regularly.

Plenty of selection and fresh meats. Small restaurant inside for dining. Best pricing we found in the area. Parking is a little tricky. Security at the door. Friendly but...not English speaking cashiers. They do understand America's horrible "sign language" for split the bill and can I have a bag please lol
