I took a beginner group surf lesson last week and it was absolutely amazing. I had taken a surf lesson once before in California and this was so much better. Our instructors were not only patient and knowledgeable but also extremely kind and supportive. We had a great time laughing, learning, and enjoying our time surfing. They are absolutely amazing!

I can’t recommend Girl and the Sea (and especially Davide) highly enough. He is by far the best surf coach I’ve ever worked with. What truly sets Davide apart is his honesty, integrity, and the way he teaches surfing as a skill, not just a moment. Instead of immediately throwing me into the water, he took the time to explain surf theory and the mechanics behind surfing, which helped everything finally make sense. The lesson structure is clearly designed to help you become an independent surfer, not reliant on being pushed into waves like so many other schools. After years of beginner lessons elsewhere, Davide adjusted my pop-up and stance to work with my body and natural flow. With just a few small changes, everything clicked. I felt completely transformed before even getting into the water. In the ocean, he showed me how to position myself, read waves, and paddle efficiently. By the end of the session, I was paddling into my own waves with ease, and surfing finally felt effortless. I’m incredibly grateful to have found Girl and the Sea and Davide.
