About
As much art gallery as café — the walls hold striking, reasonably priced work, with an art studio attached. The kitchen turns out casado, smoothies, pipas, rainbow rolls, and breakfast burritos, and its spot under the fans is one of the few roadside places where the midday heat feels bearable. Come for the art, the food, and the shade more than the coffee, which several regulars call a miss — the café next door is the pick for that.

Seemed like a very nice neighborhood / community spot but coffee was a big miss. If you like good / quality coffee, this is a skip - just head to gaucha right next door. If you want to sit in a cute, open spot and chat with people, it’s a nice spot for that.
I stopped into Zwart Cafe after being drawn to the beautiful painting outside, with its vibrant colors. Inside, I was impressed by all the artwork—it was stunning, and I even considered purchasing a piece. The woman running the shop was very helpful, and the art was reasonably priced. A great spot for art lovers and anyone looking for something unique!
The ambiance of the restaurant is equally captivating, with a cozy yet sophisticated decor that invites you to linger over your meal. Whether seated indoors surrounded by tasteful artwork or enjoying the balmy Costa Rican evenings on the charming outdoor terrace, every corner of Zwart exudes a sense of tranquility and authenticity.
