About
Reached only by a boat ride deep into Tortuguero National Park, Aninga sits among mangroves where howler monkeys wake you at dawn and sloths turn up on the early-morning wildlife tours. The pool and cocktails are a real draw, and rooms open to the jungle through mesh, with no AC and all the sounds of the forest. Go full board, since everything is right there.

Aninga Lodge is a unique and memorable place to stay. We loved the pool and cocktails, and the early morning tours were fantastic for spotting wildlife. The howler monkeys at night are incredibly loud, but it really adds to the jungle atmosphere! Food was fine and breakfast was decent — we’d recommend going for the full board option since everything is right there. It would be great if rooms had coffee making facilities and the reception team could be a bit warmer in their welcome, but overall it was a good experience
A beautiful location amongst wildlife where you can see so much - we’ve seen two toed and thre me toed sloths. The room is spacious and unique. Food has been great and staff as friendly and professional. This is genuinely a unique experience I’d recommend highly. Thanks for having us
Although it can only be reached by 1 and 1/2 hours of boat ride, it's an amazing place to be inside the Tortoguero national Park. The rooms are spacious and the service is excellent. The only thing to consider is that there is no air conditioning and no heating. Although you don't need heating and all of the bungalows are open through a mesh so you get a lot of sounds from outside 24/7. It's a good thing. The drums and other celebrations from village and nearby lodges Carrie's into your room and may disturb your sleep. All of that is more compensated because of its beautiful location within an outstanding national Park.
