About
A two-story spot on the Tortuguero canal where the second-floor tables look straight over the lively waterway. Meat eaters do best — the coconut chicken and shrimp is the dish people say not to leave without, and the grilled meat is well cooked. There's an attached hostel with clean, comfortable dorms too. Service can run slow when it's busy, and vegetarian options underwhelmed a few diners.

We stayed at the hostel for 2 nights. The room was clean and very comfortable. It is a very vibey hostel with nature all around! Comfortable and nice kitchen with a view! Also great food in a restaurant. Dont leave without trying coconut chicken and shrimps 🫶🏻 the hostel also provides activities
Both location and “enterier” are really nice, but vegeterian part of the menu was really disappointing. I had tacos with vegetables and it was nothing more than tortillas out of the supermarket and some cooked vegetables. Making it at home would be way better and worth it, since this definitely was not something you should pay 15$ for (they also charge 10% service fee what I find totally unnecessary).
The food is AMAZING! The meat is cooked well. We’ve had lunch, dinner & cocktails here and they did not disappoint. Beautiful views on both the top and bottom decks. We also stayed in the El Patio Hostel in a 4 bedded dorm which we luckily had to ourselves. The beds were very comfortable, clean bathroom and filtered tap water for drinking. There’s a charging port for each bed and a locker provided for personal belongings. The only critique of the room is that it’s dark even with the light on but we spent most of our time outside anyway!
