About
The pool and hammock area are the heart of this place: iguanas lounge everywhere, hummingbirds and macaws pass through, and the AC in the rooms genuinely matters in Tortuguero's heat. Rooms are basic but cleaned daily, the two-for-one cocktails get a lot of love, and there is an on-site tour company plus a newer Mexican restaurant serving gorditas and tacos with an ocean view. Central to the shops, beach, and park.

We had such a great time at La Casona! The rooms are super nice, comfortable bed, the AC worked good (and it's important here - super hot all day) The pool area is beautiful and chill - with lots of iguanas everywhere. They also had 2 for 1 cocktails - which were so delicious and the breakfast was tasty! The stuff were super sweet, cleaned the room every day, and they have a tour company which you can book tours with. Great location, near lots of reataurants The only con is weak Wifi but in all Tortuguero is like that Highly recommened
The rooms are pretty basic, but very clean. AC works fine, the pool is nice. The hammock area is also really cool. Saw iguanas and hummingbirds while we stayed there.
Very nice quiet hotel, mostly alone at the pool, room cleaned every day, good AC, lots of hammocks. Also very good cocktails. Saw many iguanas by the pool, hummingbirds and macauws. Works together with Root Tours from which we had a good value package 3 good guided tours and transfer from San Jose/to Puerto Viejo.
