About
Set on a strip with the river on one side and the ocean on the other, the back gate opens to the beach and the side gate to the village. The garden and pool make it a quiet retreat from busy Tortuguero, breakfast is included and changes each morning, and guide Cloyde, from one of the village's original families, gets singled out for his deep knowledge. Rooms are a touch dated but clean, with welcome AC.

Great place if you are coming to Tortuguero. Actually didn't expect A/C, but it was nice to sleep with it on. Great breakfast, which is included with your room. Perfectly located, walk out the back gate and you are on the beach, walk out the side gate and you in the village and have access to all the restaurants. They will kindly arrange any activities for you. Cloyde was our guide, he grew up there and speaks great English. Everything was clean and well kept, including the pool and the rooms. Victor checked us in and was always ready to help. Don't hesitate to book your stay at Miss Junies! We enjoyed it.
I didn't stay here, but did a tour guide with Cloide. He is so knowledgeable (and is one of the original families in Tortuguero), so he has a lot of deep knowledge of nature, plants, birds, insects, and animals. Would 100% recommend Cloide for tours.
Delightful rustic lodge set between river and the ocean. Plentiful wildlife. Nice swimming pool.
