Tortuguero Nature Native Guides

We had the most amazing experience with Tortuguero Nature Guides. Our guide was Jon’s uncle, Nana (Pablo), who has lived in Tortuguero his whole life. He was incredible and so knowledgeable about all of the animals and plants. He took us to places where other boats and tourists didn’t go which really made the experience. We saw so much wildlife, including spider and cappuccino monkeys, sloths, toucans, lizards, caimans, lots of different birds, poison dart frogs, bats, and everything in between! He even took us to the beach to show us the jaguar paw prints. The trips with Nana were the highlight of our trip and we can’t thank him enough! Tortuguero is a really amazing place, and Nana and the rest of the guides will definitely help you experience its magic.

Knowledgeable guides, had a whole boat for ourselves! Very friendly people. Jon was always immediately available on whatsapp to help us. We were even able to reschedule a tour due to heavy rain without surcharge. We thaught you have to go at 6 am to see wildlife but our second tour was at 2:30pm, where we saw just as much wildlife (even more actually) as at 6 am, but as a plus, we were the only boat far and wide :)

Fantastic day walk. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable with a really good idea of where we would be able to see the animals. We managed to see white face monkeys, spider monkeys, a number of frogs, lizards and a sloth in the distance. Easy to communicate with, well priced and thoroughly enjoyable. We would absolutely book again!
