About
A small canal-side spot where the tables look straight out over the water and the sunset drops fast over the river. Luis takes the coffee seriously, and travelers are surprised to find a proper latte this deep in Tortuguero, while the kitchen turns out patacones, fresh salads, and pizza and pasta. The staff are warm enough that people come back a second time.

We had the fish ceviche and the Greek salad. Sadly, the Greek salad had ingredients completely different to the ones mentioned on the menu. It was not worth the prize since it just had some tomato, cucumber, carrot, lettuce, onions and little avocado. The cheese was missing. One waiter did not understand the problem, the other waiter added some cheese to the salad which then had a hair in it. The ceviche was okayish but didn't taste like a lot. The patacones were rather dry. I guess the view might be nice during the day/ for breakfast but we would not come back here for dinner. Card payment possible.
We ate here several times during our stay because the food was incredible, view was impeccable, and the service was fantastic. The server enjoyed showing us what was fresh and making recommendations for the best food. Although it’s not on the menu, they are able to accommodate vegans and have several dishes that can be made vegan. Some of the best food I’ve had.
The Tree Coffee House is a small establishment with a nice view on the canal, chill music and super nice staff. I only had a Latte Macchiato, but it came with a free, big glass of water and ice. While I was enjoying the view (I was actually the only guest at the time) the waiter (owner?) came up to me and started a conversation in Spanish. Thing is, I don't speak Spanish - but I can understand a bit. So we talked, him in Spanish and me in English, and somehow despite the language barrier (he only talked a tiny bit of English), it worked. He was super friendly and it was very fun! I recommend this place and will definitely come back :)
