An Amazing opportunity to combine fun and wildlife! We did the flight of Tucán zip line and it was simply AMAZING. We did not expect to see so much wildlife! It’s a sort of incredible opportunity to hike (30 minutes) in a former cacao plantation (now private animal sanctuary) up to the jungle to discover all sorts of animals. We saw capybaras, ant eater, plenty of sloths, we heard monkeys (but didn’t see them) and an amazing variety of birds. Our guides Roy and Jorge were simply incredible explaining absolutely everything! We learned so much! They are great and willing to explain everything. For the zip line, safety is a number one priority for them. They have 7 zip lines are great for all levels. Something to point out is that we saw more animals here than in Manuel Antonio National Park (we went without a guide), after this experience we felt as if Manuel Antonio was overrated for wildlife seeing. You will see more animals early in the morning (8AM) and later afternoon. We will definitely come back again and will stay at their eco lodge cabins to explore even more and walk on their beach we didn’t have time to visit.

Amazing! Elena was our tour guide. We did a 2pm 2-3 hour nature walk. It was great! First we saw a toucan, monkeys, and a momma sloth with her baby, so adorable! Then we saw peccaries(wild pigs), lots of agoutis, caoti, and lots of big turkey-like birds. Our very last sighting was the best one! Looping back around the trail we looked again for the momma sloth and her baby and to our surprise, they were on their way down the tree! They crawled all the way down for about 1 minute til they began back up the tree! It was the most amazing thing to see. They were only 3 feet away from us, the baby was adorable as heck! Elena was very informative and pleasant. She brought along this very advanced telescope that zoomed right in to any animal that was high up and the image was clearer than the naked eye, it was really cool. Of course it was very hot at 2pm, we were very sweaty but it was worth it. I would highly recommend for nature and animal lovers!

This zip line tour was the closest option to where we were staying and we are so glad that we decided to take the adventure with Barú! Our guides were Roy and Elena, and with our family, speaking little to no Spanish, we were able to communicate perfectly with them. They welcomed us, they educated us, and everyone when they had the chance to do so, they made our entire family laugh! The zip lines were approachable and fun for all ages.
