Coconut Grove Oceanfront Cottages

I just came back from three nights at Coconut Grove and it was amazing. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves and waking up to hearing all the birds makes this the most relaxing location. It is almost half way between Dominical and Uvita, making it super convenient. They have an electronic gate to keep out unwanted visitors and the host was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay (including coffee and sugar). The cottage is fully equipped with a big fridge, oven, and everything else for the kitchen. The mattresses were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure (they have instant hot water heaters, too). The a/c kept the place cool but in the evenings I could just use the ceiling fans. And the pool was heavenly (I did not have a chance to use their outdoor grill or the yoga platform). This is one of the best kept secrets along the Costa Ballena. I cannot wait to return.

Such a nice place, one of our best stay in CR. Close to the beach with ocean views. Wildlife is all around, and you wake up with frogs and howler monkeys growling in the background jungle. occasionally, you will also hear the road traffic next door. Nice pool and the nearby beach is more or less empty, maybe not the best swimming beach. The dogs and cats bring joy and are very friendly and happy to come for a short visit. so all in all we are really happy to find this place.

We enjoyed our one week stay here. You can see the ocean from your cottage (doesnt matter which one you stay in). The pool was clean and a fun hangout spot. The beach felt like a private one and was a short 30 second walk from the cottage. We loved all their dogs (all rescues), and really enjoyed talking with Richard the owner. We cooked a lot of meals in the cottage which helped us save some $$$. We were sad to leave!
