Cool Vibes Hostel

At first I got a good impression. The location is great, the hostel looks very nice and common area is spacious. The rooms are clean and I love that there are bathrooms inside the dorms. But my experience there was not great. In the common kitchen, on the first night someone took my beer that had my name on it- rude. Then when I wanted to go to the pool it was occupied by a family with 3 kids, playing and jumping in the water. This wasn't the relaxed atmosphere I was hoping for. I was acutally surprised to see so many families with little kids there during my stay. Nothing against kids! love them, but this is not a cool vibe. I did get to soak in the pool in the early morning/noon and pulled out some chunks of hair that were floating in the water. By my 3rd day there the water in the pool were less clear.. and it really disappointed me bc it is VERY hot there and I just wanted to cool off a bit and enjoy the pool as well. Also, the door to the dorm was making SO much noise it needs to be fixed. And my roomate in the dorm said she saw the guy staying with us pleasuring himself in the middle of the night... - one of the many reasons why there should always be a seperation between male and female in dorms. I would say it's fine for a short stay of max 3 days, but I wasn't feeling the vibe there at all. The name of the hostel doesn't justify itself in my opinion.

1 Minute to the beach. Very big bathrooms and shared kitchens that is kept clean. The stuff is also very nice and helps you to spend your days and safe money. The guests are mixed: mainly Europe and US, but also Ticos are spending a few days here. There are also non-surfers around here.

Very nice hostel, clean, with friendly staff and spacious areas. Good common spaces and an excellent location to walk to the surfing spot. I’ll be back, gracias!
