About
Set in the Nya Hotel and newly reopened under a talented chef, Agra runs like a tasting menu that never announced itself: complimentary surprises arrive between courses, warm breads with savory and spicy butters, little appetizers, a milk-free homemade ice cream so good you order a second. Regulars name the seafood ricotta, the chimichurri skirt steak and the seasonal catch. Ask off-menu; they made ceviche that was not on it. Music stays low for conversation.

This place should definitely get more recognition! The service is top and the food is absolutely fantastic! We asked for a ceviche even if it was not in the menu and they made it! In between meals we got complementary surprises which were also very tasty. The music is not loud and you can have a proper conversation. Totally recomending it! Great job at providing a Michelin Bib Gourmand feeling.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The location is beautiful and tastefully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. The staff made sure everything was perfect and were always happy to help. The food was outstanding: fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and every dish was perfectly balanced. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended. We will definitely be coming back.
Walking back to town after a beach walk, we were discussing dinner plans. As we passed by the Nya Hotel, we bumped into Arturo who was going to work at the newly opened Agra Restaurant in the Nya. We were super glad we took him up on his offer. The restaurant is extremely nice, quiet, and charming. Service was excellent after Arturo brought out some complimentary breads with both a savory & a spicy butter. I ordered the Seafood Ricotta and she ordered the skirt steak. While waiting for our entree, Arturo brought out an appetizer of fish, cracker, and sauce which only made us want more. The entree was off the charts great food. The steak grilled to perfection with a great chimichurri sauce. I ate every bit of my seafood ricotta. Then Arturo gave us a home made ice cream without milk that made us order another one even though we were past being full. The atmosphere, service, and food are worth the visit. We were told this restaurant had been closed but is now newly reopened by the hotel with an outstanding new chef.
