What an unforgettable evening at Ash Sushi! From the moment we arrived, everything felt special, and the dramatic rain storm that rolled in only made the experience more magical. Watching the jungle come alive in the rain while enjoying incredible food was something we won’t forget. We started with the steamed gyoza and fried veggie spring rolls, both absolutely delicious. For mains, the Spicy Tuna Pokémon Bowl was bursting with flavor, and the spicy tuna roll alongside the Montezuma roll were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully prepared. Dessert was pure indulgence: a decadent chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, paired perfectly with two cafe americanos. Deborah, our server, was lovely, friendly, and attentive, making us feel completely at home. You can truly feel the passion that owners Henry and Sadie pour into every detail of this unique jungle sushi spot, just minutes from Montezuma. An incredible meal, a tropical rainstorm soundtrack, and warm hospitality. Kanpai, Ash Sushi. Pura Sushi Vida!
Lovely unexpected restaurant on our way back from Montezuma. The food was fantastic with lots of flavor. The service was exceptional and the prices are great. Situated off the road in an outdoor cafe style restaurant. Lots of different options for sushi and Costa Rican local dishes. We ordered two rolls and a tuna bowl to go. So delicious and we are looking forward to returning again.
The sushi was SO good. We also had the garlic edemame as a starter and it was very delicious. The only thing that bothered me was the person behind the bar had their phone going off every three minutes (maybe they had alarms set or they had an alarm-like text tone), it was quite annoying. Service was very friendly and food was insanely good. Will definitely recommend.
