Jodokus Inn Holiday home

Staying at Jodokus Inn was incredible! The owner was so lovely and supportive as I had trouble with my motorcycle. The house is very taken care off and the included breakfast is delicious!! It’s really a best of tranquility and nature, you can see many birds, monkeys, etc all around the property. I’d recommend this place even if you’re a solo backpacker (female too) and want to have tranquility for a moment but still be close to Montezuma.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property, and it truly felt like a little slice of paradise. The owner is a wonderful person who has designed the space with great attention to detail. Nestled in the heart of nature, the property boasts stunning gardens, a peaceful atmosphere, and a delicious breakfast each morning. Most importantly, the owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

The house is incredible and filled with homemade wooden items and details, the kitchen is super useful as you can cook your own dinners and lunches and make fruit juice etc. Host was very welcoming and breakfast was perfect. The view is stunning, however this property is very far off the beaten track from Montezuma (about a 15 min drive over some very dodgy roads - 4X4 essential on all incoming routes). There's also a lot of insects which we hadn't prepared for, and you can't wear shoes upstairs meaning you have to try and dodge the hundreds of ants on the floor - not the nicest experience. There's also no A/C in the room and no door on the toilet which makes it a bit awkward. Overall I'd recommend if you have a 4X4 and want to be surrounded by nature, but if you're looking for a hotel in Montezuma close to amenities and the beaches, this isn't the one for you.
