Pizza from a traditional wood oven you can taste in every bite; one regular swears it rivals New York, Philly and Italy. The empanadas earn their own shout-outs, wine pours are generous, and you eat surrounded by greenery with a view. Owners Nati and Chelo are the warm heart of it; ask about cashew-cheese swaps if you skip dairy, and let server Akbal steer the menu.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, it made our experience much better to see them so cheerful. The pizza was made in a traditional pizza oven and you could taste it, it was delicious. The atmosphere was great, there was greenery surrounding us and don’t even get me started on the view. The toilets were nice and clean, something that isn’t mentioned often. Also the wine servings were generous. I’d definitely recommend coming here for a meal.
So, I just have to say that we have some of the best pizza in the world, yeah, I said it, here in Montezuma Costa Rica. And, before you all freak out. Yes, I've had pizza in N.Y. , Philly, Italy....blah blah blah. Chelo Montezuma - Cobano Bravo Marcello y la Cocina at Chelo. The empanadas are awesome as well. Be back soon for the pasta. We visited for dinner tonight and were looking forward to good pizza. We were welcomed by our server Akbal. His recommendations from menu selection were all good. My wife is vegetarian and his suggestion about pizza toping were perfect. They ran out of veg Empanadas which were rewarded by another appetizer on the house (imagine geting such top notch service in costa rica!!😀). A big shout out to the pizza chef and excellent customer service by Akbal. I highly recommend this place.
