A longtime central-Montezuma restaurant (with rooms upstairs) built around a garden with a big fountain. Reviewers single out the pineapple-rum chicken, homemade coconut milk, and unusually good vegan and gluten-free options, including tofu, which they note is rare in Costa Rica. Portions are large; prices sit on the higher side, as they do around Montezuma. Guests also get pool access at sister resort Ylang Ylang.

This might be without a doubt, one of better restaurants in Montezuma; maybe even Costa Rica - the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cool calm inviting and relaxing. The small green area in the back is very nice and soothing, with easy access to the beach.
Everything about Sano Banano was incredible. I was blown away with the dinner, I ordered the pineapple rum Chicken and wow. It was amazing. We came for breakfast lunch and dinner multiple times. Happy hour chicken nuggets hit the spot. Their mocha was delicious as well. A great spot and must eat place while you’re in montezuma.
10/10 restaurant. The atmosphere outside is so lovely with the large fountain and the beautiful garden. The food is flavourful and still on the expensive side as all food is in Montezuma but you get large portions. Very happy with the vegan options. Delicious homemade coconut milk!
