About
The dish reviewers keep coming back to is the whole grilled snapper; one fish-obsessed traveler called it the best they have had anywhere in Costa Rica. Grilled octopus in Mediterranean sauce, a shrimp cocktail with hearts of palm and avocado, and fresh natural smoothies round out the strengths. Food comes at a relaxed pace, so do not arrive in a rush. Breakfast and consistency draw more mixed notes.

Very slow service. Although the food looked tasty, it was not well prepared and lacked flavor. The seafood rice was not tasty, very large rubbery chunks of octopus etc.
I had a very sad and tasteless breakfast here. The portion of gallo pinto was the smallest I’ve ever been served, the bread tasted like the cheapest supermarket loaf, and the eggs were badly overcooked. To their credit, when they noticed my disappointed face they did offer more gallo pinto, which I appreciated — but overall the meal was poor and far below expectations. I hope they improve the quality and portions in the future.
Great experience. Natural fruit smoothies. The food was great and not pretentious. It took a few minutes to get the food but, if you are not local and you are in a hurry in this place you may be doing something wrong. We started with a shrimp cocktail with hearts of palm and avocado. The main courses were one grilled fish and one grilled octopus on Mediterranean sauce. Both came with rice, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. All tasted great. The food was fresh, simple and good quality.
