Ginger Restaurant Bar

Easily the best meal we’ve had since getting to Costa Rica! The place has such a cool “treehouse-style” vibe — open-air, quiet, and easy to have a conversation. Super chill and inviting. The food is all tapas-style (small plates), and they suggested two dishes per person, which was the perfect amount. Everything came out at a great pace — starting with lighter bites and ending with the heartier stuff. Every dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our favorites were Ginger’s Fries, the Asian Tacos, the Chicken Fingers (the batter was unreal!), and the Filet Mignon with onion rings — seriously some of the best onion rings ever. The service was friendly, though a little slow on taking our order and bringing the check, but honestly the food more than made up for it. If you’re anywhere near Playa Hermosa, you’ve got to try this place!

One of the best restaurants in Playa Hermosa Costa Rica. Very classy restaurant, food was over the top good and you won't find any other restaurant like it in the area. If you love tapas and shareable type small plates...you'll love this restaurant. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Owner even checked in on us to make sure we were happy. Reservation recommended.

Highly recommended if you’re in the area. The menu is tapas style. Some of the tapas were very small portions, while others, like the tuna tartare, were larger. I would suggest at least three per person. Both the taste and presentation of the food is impressive. The restaurant feels just a little bit upscale, but still maintains a casual atmosphere. It’s open air and many compare it to a treehouse. The service was impeccable.
