The multiple pools are what guests remember here: clean, with comfortable loungers, alongside a three-minute walk to Playa Hermosa, an adjoining restaurant, and monkeys in the trees nearby. Villas come with kitchens that help keep costs down, and Liberia airport is a short ride. Rooms are basic and reviews split on the front-desk welcome, so set expectations on the room itself.

I highly recommend this spot! With an adjoining restaurant in a small town and the beach a short walk away, the location is amazing. The hotel was very clean and the pool area was the absolute gem of our experience. Several pools, comfy lounge chairs, all clean and genuinely nice to use. I’ll add that I stayed with another female and we felt safe during our stay. When we left, the front desk staff kindly called a taxi to LIR for us, which was only a short ride away. This hotel was a wonderful end to our vacation!
Location was nice! The rooms were ok..but the pictures on the website make it look 10 times better and cleaner than it is. It's not so grand! You had to put a lot of effort to match the door to the lock. If you don't speak Spanish, they don't like you and won't help you with your stay. The lady at the front desk was mad as I walked in and kept that energy during our stay. Hermosa Beach is beautiful but stay somewhere that actually appreciates you as a guest!
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel & Villas Huetares! An easy walk to the beach (3min), you could see the monkeys nearby, the front desk staff was kind and they have a restaurant. Pools were a great temperature for the hot days —tho wished our AC cooled a bit more and while the rooms were basic (had a mini fridge) we had a comfortable stay.
