About
A cluster of individually-owned studio suites a five-minute walk from Coco beach and about fifteen from the main street, with a well-kept pool and grounds. Guests highlight the location and a welcoming, helpful community on-site. Because each unit is owned and managed separately, the kitchen kit and cleaning can vary a lot, so it is worth checking what your specific studio includes before booking.

Someone else posted there is free laundry here. It is not free,it is currently 1000 colones for a wash. You can only use the washer if you have the air wallet app and if you will not be using a full cellular service that allows sms while here then I suggest you download the app before coming otherwise you cannot verify. Verification is required to unlock the app. The grounds and pool are nicely maintained by a hard working man. It seems to me that the suits are individually owned and rented out in various ways. I am in suite 27 it is managed by Cast Vacations and I booked it thru airBnB. It is a studio suite. A kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen is ill equipped for those who actually intend to cook! There were some spices left behind by I’m guessing previous tenants but the expiration dates have long passed. There was one that expired in 2017! The pot lids have broken handles, the handles on the fry pans are loose and ready to fall off. All the knives are dull. There are no food storage containers. It took me 45 minutes to brew a pot of coffee because the pump kept stopping and I had to unplug and plug in again. I complained about that and it was replaced. There is an oven but no cookware that can be placed in an oven. The storage space is sparse and there were only 3 hangers for your clothes. I had to buy some. There was no laundry basket and no bath mat which I also had to purchase myself. No soap in the shower only a hand soap at the sink. There is a pedestal sink in the bathroom, no cabinet. There is however a bookshelf type unit there. They had a bunch of dirty cleaning things like a bucket and a mop in the bathroom which is rather unpleasant. A few towels but no face clothes. Half of the limited storage in the cabinet in the bedroom is locked, unavailable for guest use. The mattress is sooo lumpy, it needs to be replaced! I went to flip it over hoping the underside was better. It has a zipped cover on it which is full of stains on both sides and the underside of the cover as well as the floor under the bed was filthy! After seeing that i immediately washed all the bed linens. There is dirt in all the corners and along the cabinet edge on the floor. There are grimy hand prints on all the cabinets, the fridge and TV. I am pissed and want to know what the $300+ fee I was charged by airBnB is used for because it sure isn’t cleaning! And why is the fee so high? I can pay a cleaner for 4 hours to clean 1500 square feet for half that! This suite is maybe 400 sqft. And rest assured the cleaning person isn’t getting payed well which is probably why they don’t do a good job! Half the light bulbs were not working so I asked for them to be replaced. The power is dodgy as the kitchen light dims and flickers at will especially when using the stove. The outside light only works if you flip it on and off a dozen times. They post pictures on their advertising showing there is a bbq in the community space. There is one but it is privately owned and the propane tank is locked up. That would be false advertising as it did not state that it was not for public use in the listing. Also there was virtually no water flow when we arrived. I complained about that as well. I was told the water here is very hard, lots of calcium. Calin from Cast Vacations came and cleaned the shower head then used the vinegar that I purchased to soak the kitchen sprayer! He didn’t even do the bathroom sink my husband did that one. There clearly is no check list to go thru between tenants and clearly no quality standards whatsoever which is shameful given what they are charging guests! In talking to others guests here I feel I was over charged. 5 star is not expected but basic standards? yes absolutely! The location in proximity to the beach(5minute walk) and the Main Street(15 minute walk) is good. And that would be an honest review.
Las Torres is a great location, walking distance of multiple restaurants and the Coco beach. Las Torres's people makes you feel welcome and are always there if you need help.
Lovely place, great community and pool. Main issue is the lights as they are all way too bright and they have no side lamps.
