Papagayo Golden Palms Beachfront hotel

Our flight was canceled and we booked 2 rooms at this hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more professional, kind and welcoming. Daniela booked our airport transportation and she answered texts in the middle of the night when our flight was canceled again. Ashley and Dylan were amazing as well. The resort was beautiful and we had a great dinner at their restaurant. There’s complimentary breakfast which was delicious. We are so grateful for this beautiful hotel and its staff, who turned a stressful cancellation into a wonderful bonus day of vacation! The beach was beautiful and the ocean was warm.

A nice stay off the beaten path. Very hot and dry location in winter. Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with everything we needed. The buffet-style breakfast offered a wide variety of options. Clean and large pool with plenty of shade for sitting. Kayaks available on site, with an easy paddle around the bay. The secluded beach offered a much less crowded resting space, though rocky rather than sandy, but enjoyable for walking, exploring, and chasing little sea critters. Kid-friendly. 20 minute drive into the nearby city more travelled by tourists for additional eating and shopping opportunities.

The hotel was in a location close to so many amazing beaches (driving distance but one is walkable). The staff were absolutely incredible- so kind, friendly, easy to chat with. Rooms were average. Seems very overpriced for what you’re getting in terms of rooms but overall very positive experience. Thanks to Sergio, Todo, Daniela, Dillan, Harley and team!!
