A neighborhood favorite in Playa Hermosa — a short walk off the beach, and worth it for the price. Regulars order the Dorado a la Diabla (mahi mahi that stays moist) and steak done right, washed down with cold beers cheaper than the beachfront spots. Staff get named again and again for being warm and attentive — surprising a kid with a birthday dessert, comping brownies when the flan ran out. Recently expanded, so tables are easier to get.

Ate here twice during our stay in Playa Hermosa. The food tasted good and was one of the more reasonably priced restaurants. Had a fun neighborhood hangout vibe. A lot of traditional Costa Rican cuisine. The mahi mahi was not too dry and the steak was a perfect medium which is what ordered. I was disappointed they were out of their flan for dessert but they made up for it by giving us free brownies which were very tasty 😋! Everyone of the staff were very attentive and friendly.
The food was fresh and seasoned amazingly. There is something for everyone, beef, pasta, seafood.The folks who have taken over were really attentive to our every need. I say if your within 1/2 hour drive, you should go.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Playa Hermosa and it never fails to impress me. They have expanded so it’s much easier to get a table or sit at the bar. The waitstaff are all very friendly and accommodating. Food is fresh and well prepared with a good variety of options. Prices are very reasonable-both for the food and drinks. Highly recommend!!
