I visited Pura Spa during my solo birthday trip to Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and my experience with Sheila was nothing short of amazing. I booked the full body scrub, deep tissue massage, and rejuvenation facial—and every single service exceeded my expectations. Sheila’s hand pressure is absolutely perfect. She knew exactly how to dig into my stress areas while still making the experience deeply relaxing. The body scrub was pure bliss, removing dead skin and leaving my body feeling refreshed, renewed, and brand new. The facial? Chef’s kiss. My skin felt as soft as a baby’s—hydrated, glowing, and truly rejuvenated. What truly touched my heart was the personal care and thoughtfulness. Sheila surprised me with birthday cake and wine to celebrate my special day. I almost cried. That level of TLC, especially while traveling solo, meant everything to me. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Pure Spa. I stopped by on a whim, mid-morning, to see if they might have availability for a facial for my daughter as the spa at the resort we were staying at the night before canceled on us last minute that morning (ie had no-show staff) . Pure Spa told me they were booked solid but they offered to stay an extra hour to fit not only my daughter in at 7 pm, but also offered a spa service for me as well as well as a package discount. It was one of the best massages I have ever had, which is saying a lot!!!! The person who did my daughter’s facial also did an excellent job. My daughter loved how her skin felt after the papaya enzyme mask and other skin treatments. They use all natural, organic, regionally made products. Very high quality. They go out of their way to provide excellent service and succeed. If you are in the Hermosa Beach area and want a spa treatment, ditch the resort spa and go to Pure Spa. You won’t regret it!!!

My partner and I both had the best massages! Super reasonably priced, very comfortable, and they were able to accommodate us last minute. We highly recommend! We both had some bad aches (we’re both very active) and left feeling completely relaxed and pain free. Thank you, thank you! We’ll definitely be back!
